CTSA Chair Update

28th September 2022

Earlier this month Sam Jordan informed the board of his desire to step down as Chair of the Crawley Town Supporters Alliance after nearly 5 years in the role.

Sam had this to say on his decision: “After 5 years as the Chair of the CTSA I have made the difficult decision to step aside at the end of this month. This year I have become a father for the second time and it’s important that I free up as much time as possible to spend with my family whilst working full time. I have struggled to put the time and effort into the role it deserves and I think it’s time for someone new to come in who has the time and energy to give to the role. I very much appreciate the CTSA board’s support over the last 5 years and I think when needed, the CTSA has been there for our supporters and club.”

Reuben Watt will take up this role to fill the gap of Chair until the next AGM, which will take place at the end of the 22/23 season. Reuben has been on the CTSA board since the beginning of May. He has already spent a lot of time working on the website, improving social media, modernising the way Reds Rollover and CTSA membership is done (stay tuned!), and representing the CTSA on the new Crawley Town Fan Council.

Reuben said “I am really looking forward to taking on this interim role within the CTSA. In my short time on the CTSA, I can see that the fans of Crawley want to see the CTSA reaching its potential and I am going to try my absolute hardest, alongside the board, to make this happen. I know that this won’t be easy but, as I reach my 13th year of supporting the Red Devils, I feel like I am up to the task. I have big shoes to fill but I would like to say a huge thank you to Sam (Jordan) for all the work that he has put into the CTSA over the past 5 years.” Reuben continued to say “It has never been a more important time to get involved with the Supporters Alliance and so if you would like to join, do get in touch with us here. The CTSA is also looking for new people to join the board. Without the board, the CTSA would not be able to function properly. If you would like to learn more about joining the board, message us here.”

We would like to wish Sam all the best with his young family and formerly welcome Reuben to the role of interim chair.
