There’s nothing like a gentle summer walk in the countryside, is there? Well what CTFC Supporter Angela Maria and 16 of her Comtrex Systems work colleagues have planned for 26th July will be nothing like a gentle summer walk in the countryside! Setting off at Midnight, they’ll be walking 40 miles non stop across the South Downs in aid of Action Medical Research, a charity dedicated to saving and changing children’s lives. And they need your help.

Action Medical Research are a Horsham based charity. Their work is focused on saving and improving the lives of children, and their results have been impressive- as you can see by visiting their website at:

As they state, however, “Although the research we have funded has helped save and change so many children’s lives, there is still so much more to learn about what triggers diseases, how to prevent them and how to develop effective new treatments and find the best ways to treat sick babies and children”.

Angela and her colleagues, by taking part in the South Downs Way PLOD, are hoping to raise a mighty six thousand pounds for this worthwhile cause. The best way you can help is to donate by following this link:

It’s a real test of endurance, but at least there should be a chance of refreshment at the end!
