On Wednesday, Sam Jordan (CTSA Chairman) and Steve Leake (Fan Rep) met with Kelly Derham and Joe Comper to discuss all things CTFC. Below are answers to the questions raised by the supporters ahead of our meeting.
With new directors added to the club’s board in the last few weeks, the CTSA has requested to attend a board meeting (in line with the Fan Rep arrangement) before our AGM. This will enable us to meet the new directors and pose questions that our supporters have raised and gain an understanding of what their short, medium and long-term targets are for the club.
Ticketing system/queues
The new ticketing system has been slow because the WiFi needs upgrading. This is being done ahead of Saturday’s match. As a contingency there will be pre printed tickets available to use, should the system not be fully functional on the day.
The club is short of ticket office staff too. If you, or anyone you know, is interested in helping out in this paid role then please contact the club. You will also gain entrance to the game for free. Until the ticketing situation is resolved, the ticket office will continue to open at 10am on a match day to enable supporters to purchase their tickets in advance.
Car Park season ticket holders and numbered spaces
There is a plan in place to ensure that people are able to park in their allocated space. This will include the club hiring an additional member of staff to work in the car park. Please contact the club if you are interested – again, entrance to the game will be free. Whilst this plan is put into place please understand that the club can’t control where people choose to park after they are directed to their allocated space at the entrance to the car park.
Player sponsorship
The club had been waiting for the headshots to be ready for the programme. These will be in there for Saturdays game alongside the sponsorship information.
PA system
Someone new is coming in to review the PA system this week to try and resolve it. Please note the fire safety announcement is linked to a different system.
Food outlets
The West Stand outlet is currently closed as it isn’t profitable for the contractor to open it. The tender for the food outlets is up for renewal at the end of the season. The prices have reverted back to last seasons prices, following Kelly’s meeting with them.
Club’s financial position
The club’s financial position is good. Up to date with HMRC. The club will need continued investment but has no overdraft, loans or credit cards. All the money Ziya Eren puts into the club is a donation and can’t be taken out.
Director update
Nuhkan Ruzgar is the clubs new Vice Chairman and Emre Eren (Ziya’s son) has also joined the board.
Aims for the season
The board’s aim is promotion and the money received from transfers has been invested into the playing budget, which is higher than last season.
Academy/youth team
The club aren’t ready for an academy yet. It’s failed twice already and the club won’t attempt it again until they know it will work.
