Throughout the 2022/23 season, as the Crawley Town Supporters Alliance, we will be providing you, the fans, with a number of ways that you can get to the away games. 

By the time our third away fixture of the season, we would’ve already played a number of matches in both the League Cup and League 2. For our third away game, we will be doing a 514 mile trip from the Broadfield Stadium to the north of Manchester, Rochdale. This is where we will be kicking off at the Crown Oil Arena. The match takes place on the 27th August 2022 with a 3pm kick off. 

Coach

GH Coches, the official CTFC travel provider, will be running a day coach to the match for only £30. For this match, they will be leaving the Broadfield Stadium at 7:00 am to get to the ground. On route, they will be stopping for a buffet lunch in Knutsford along with a stop at the M6 Toll services. Without a doubt the cheapest way to get to the match. Train

Before you even look into getting a train, the first place to go to get the cheapest tickets possible is to look into getting a Railcard. Now, these aren’t available for everyone but it may be worth looking to see if you qualify for any of them. There is a cost to this Railcard but it will give you one-third off all train travel! If you are travelling from Crawley, we would suggest that you get a train from Three Bridges, From here you can either go into London to get to Manchester and then change there. The other option is to get from Three Bridges to Stevenage. Stevenage to Leeds and then Leeds to Rochdale direct. Both ways take roughly the same amount of time. 5 hours. 

Cost wise. The easiest place to get your train ticket from will be www.thetrainline.com. At the time of writing it will cost around £110 return (£80 with a travel card). The other place you can go to is book.splitticketing.com. This is a great and cheaper way to get your tickets. All it does is split your ticket up into smaller journeys which makes your journey cheaper. 9 times out of 10 you can stay on the same train. Looking at the split ticketing website at the time of writing it will cost around £100 return (£70 with a travel card). 

Car

The 257-mile journey will take you around 4 hour if you were to leave from the Football Stadium. This journey will take you round the M25 (again!), followed by a journey up the M40 passing Birmingham on the M6 Toll, onto the M60 before eventually reaching Rochdale.  You can look at this journey here.

Fan Zone

At the ground, a fan zone will be in place. Inside of it, there will be two bars. These open from 11 am, with a Happy Hour on drinks between 11 am and 12:30 pm. This will mean that you can get some drinks for £2.40. After Happy Hour, these prices will go up to £3. Inside the venus, there will be TVs showing Southampton V Man Utd as well as a “Best of Crawley” video.
